Nichole Blake

Nichole Blake is a young ambitious student who has always had a passion for art. She recalls that she wanted to be an artist from the time she was in grade school. Nichole is now currently attending the University of Oregon as a full time student obtaining her B.A. in Interior Architecture. Her talent to create beautiful pieces of art helps to support her through college.

NL Designs first came about because Nichole wanted to make her artwork a primary part of her life as well as share her art work with others. NL Designs was started in 2004 after hard work and support from family and friends. It began as a greeting card line but clients were continually requesting prints. Rightfully so NL Designs was happy to comply with its customers requests and is now providing the highest quality limited edition signed prints in both Giclee' and stretched canvas as well. Nichole took great care to create a greeting card line of the highest quality. She continually strives to create unique designs that are varied and appeal to a wide variety of individuals. Each card and print is unique, as are the clients and stores that represent her work.

History:
Nichole Blake took art classes while she attended Duniway Middle school as well as McMinnville High School. During her high school career she attended an art program called Jump Start at Oregon State University. Jump Start is a program for high school students who wish to peruse art at a higher level.
Nichole studies under Susan Day, a Northwest pastel artist. After studying with Susan Day, pastels became one of Nichole's favorite mediums to work with. The strokes that are achieved with pastels were unlike anything she had ever used. She immediately found a passion for them. She mainly works on colored canson paper when painting with pastels and will occasionally use mat board. Even though she enjoys working with pastels Nichole continues to work with a variety of other mediums such as watercolors, colored pencil, and oil paints.

Nichole wishes to have artwork fill the rest of her life. After graduating from college Nichole wishes to open a studio for her art work and work in a small interior design firm as an interior designer.
