Mixed Digital Media Art
Jim Talt
I produce my artwork using a variety of contemporary tools. Freehand painting is done using a digital painting pallet called Art Rage. If image collage is part of an art piece, I used a program called Elements to aid in color mixing and image placement. These collage images are usually taken with a digital camera though sometimes I will sketch or paint on paper and scan to digitize the image for incorporation into an art piece.
Image on canvas artwork:
Completed compositions are produced on canvas by applying the highest quality archived-pigmented inks using the technology of gicleé fine art print making. The canvas is then stretched on kiln dried pine tension bars incorporating archival acid barriers as with any fine art pieces.
Signature and numbering:
Each canvas is personally signed and individually numbered. Numbering is in the form: Year of composition,
Canvas # (for example 07-1).
Edition size:
Only one canvas is produced at a time. I don't mass produce or mass market my artwork and, therefore, do not produce limited editions. This year's art will be replaced by next year's creations and so I expect that at most, only a few canvases of any one piece will be produced.
Thank you:
The artist creative process is personally very rewarding. If you find something in any of my art that gives you pause to reflect, then the art succeeded in some small way and I am further rewarded.
